Review on πŸ”Œ Table Saw Safety Power Tool Switch: Ryobi and Craftsman Compatible, 125v Paddle On/Off Switch Replacement by Brett Islam

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Replacement table saw Ryobi. The time will show.

Works like the original. But how long? I'm glad it wasn't too expensive but will it last? It appears to be a replica replacement for the original switch which failed with little use. To my surprise, it didn't turn off! I had to walk around the saw, turn it off. I took apart the original switch to see that the contacts were badly burned and fused together. The switch is a simple DPST (double pole single throw) on-off switch. I haven't seen the amperage on it, but when the motor is started at FLA (Full Load Amps) I suspect that this rise is much larger than the switch it is designed for since there is no significant spring load on the contacts. The reason they sell a lot of these switches is because they are cheap and will most likely blow again. closed (ON) state and I couldn't turn off the saw without disconnecting it, I will never trust it. I'll probably fit a matching relay with switch (E-stop button) for reassurance, or just buy another saw.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Definitely bad product
