I highly recommend a collar that at least gives the dog a chance to get off their back if the collar gets caught on something. If you have > 1 dog and there is a chance they will fight each other, this feature can save a dog's life if, for example, one dog's jaw gets under another dog's collar and the other dog then curls up.
