Great Rod is good for outdoor recreation
They work well for ferrocerium rods. The lanyard is long enough to use the included striker. No need to sharpen your own knives or even sharpen the back of your spine. That's enough to get some really good sparks and start a fire. I teach my son how to do it and he can't do it until he is 8 years old.
