Overall this is a great product but I would definitely recommend someone else to do this for you. I was sure I would do it myself, but I think I subconsciously hesitated. I tried pushing it through but it didn't work so after a bit of fuss I pulled it out (there was a lot of resistance). My husband managed to collect the gun and he pierced it to me in the same place. He did it very quickly and pressed really hard - I was so surprised it worked! It definitely hurt like hell the first time I pierced him wrong, but since he did it quickly the second time it was very quick and not that painful, I think it only hurt because it was in the same wound the second time was. Place. Also, it's a bit long so it digs into my septum, but it doesn't really hurt as long as I don't press on it (my nose is very small anyway). The black gem is also more like a dot on my nose which I wasn't expecting haha! But overall I'm very happy with it. And even if you're going confident like me, have someone else be with you to be safe!
