Personal opinion of a non-audio professional who wears headphones all the time. I'm very picky about my headphones. I want the highs to be clear, the mids not to be muddy, and the bass to be tight. On top of that, I need enough volume to play with the iPhone. I'll sacrifice looks and weight for a killer sound. Bought these cans mainly for the gym. I listen to hard rock, classic rock, old country and some rap, mostly loud. PROS: These are fantastic headphones, easily in my top 3! The depth and quality of the music production is fantastic and it can get LOUD. Build quality, looks great when worn. For me, the all-round quality of these phones is second to none. Right here with focal lists for high frequencies and louder than the Sennheiser Momentum. In my opinion the top of the range Sony (good in tone and volume) and Bose (best noise canceling) +$300 are good products, but they are overpriced and don't compare to the music quality or volume of these V mods. Audio Technica ATH-M50 isn't even close. Cons: Bluetooth stopped working, the battery doesn't even charge, after 2 months you have to use it as a wired headphone. Comfort is so-so for extended wear. Noticeable loss of sound when gaming loudly.
