First impression I bought these pants solely for hiking. Female, 5ft 5in, 118lbs, small fits very well (I just don't have a classic figure eight figure with a big butt). Not tight, not loose. but this will only be necessary on the coldest days. A thin base layer of polypropylene or silk will suffice for most winter days if I intend to hike. to Shell. Welt pockets with zips at front, one back pocket with zips. It's about 1 inch too long for my height, but I'm just saying that as a description and not as a complaint. I chose army green because some of the parks I travel allow hunting during certain times of the year and brown makes you look like a deer and black/charcoal makes you look like a bear. Green just makes you look green. I'll update the review once I've washed my pants and hiked a bit. But the first impression is very favorable. These pants are worth the price and appear to be of very good quality.
