The problem with my original tree stand was that the screws were too thin and uneven, causing the tree to lean forward and eventually fall into its weak spot. So you might think that this wooden stand with its thick chunky screws would suffice. The main thing I want to say is that you need to read and pay attention to the small details that the manufacturer claims when they say "perfect for countertops*". Although it proudly claims it can fit in a 3" barrel (which I had). Although it says it can hold ¾ gallons of water and weighs 3.25 pounds (heavy enough I think). After all, it's only good for small trees on tables and nothing more. While he advertises his strength and abilities, he's quite limited. It did NOT work the way I hoped it would and it didn't work for me and I ended up having to buy something better.
