Talk about bang for ypur buck

This is a great balance bike and racing bike for any kid! It has a 1 1/8 threadless stem/fork so you have a built in headset. The block is not sealed but functional. The wheel hubs are cone and cup, not sealed but again very serviceable. The handlebar is quite narrow and bare. We replaced them with wider aluminum bars. The stock grips are fine. After a few scrapes, the steering wheel popped off its ends, and when we replaced the steering wheel, we installed more comfortable bumper grips. The seat is fine. The seat can only be adjusted up or down. There is no step, back and forth. So we decided to try another adjustable seat. Now my girlfriend's bike fits like a glove and maybe $30 in upgrades. The bike is fairly light, just a pound heavier than the Woom and with the same geometry. The brake lever is made of plastic, while the brake itself is low and made of plastic. Not sure if that matters for this bike at low speeds. It's more just for learning how to use the handbrake. Children stop with their feet anyway, also in combination with a lever. Overall for the price and even with part replacement/upgrade it's still very good value for money. I picked up a long seat post to stretch my leg a bit. If you are a cyclist you will appreciate this little mini bike. The geometry is the same as the Flat Bar Commuter/Hybrid. Looks like we're getting a good 2 years, maybe longer depending on how fast my girl grows. She got it at 18 months and thinks it will last up to 3 1/2-4 years so it's worth the investment. Again, you can customize this bike in many different ways and use some real bike parts on this little beauty. I wish they came in more colors. We have blue it's a nice shade but some people need a pink bike so they can remember they have a girlfriend I guess? Either way, a spray can and a half day can fix it if need be. It's a steel frame, but very light, and after swapping out the steel bars and seatpost for aluminum, it's shrunk by about a pound. So it's about 7 pounds and for a 30 pound kid that's pretty good compared to 25-35 for a big store balance bike. Just stay away from it
