Stronger than the 2mm version
I have the original 2mm version, magnetically strong enough for my iPhone 12 Pro, in a hybrid Magsafe case with a polycarbonate back cover. I've noticed that this 3mm version has an even tighter fit, but I would say that both the 2mm and this 3mm version will do. If you have a larger Max phone I'd recommend this 3mm version, or if you just want to hold the 12 Pro really securely.
