Review on πŸ›₯️ Kenwood KMR-D378BT Boat Stereo Receiver - Marine CD Player with Alexa, Bluetooth, Auxiliary Input, and Sirius Compatibility by Angela Gershmel

Not for use on ships in marine stereo systems

I purchased 2 Kenwood units for my 39ft Bayliner to upgrade my existing systems. Less than a year later it stopped working and I had to send it in for warranty repair. It looks like there is water damage and Kenwood will not pay for repairs. However, the unit was installed on our flybridge with the cover forward and closed behind the opening. Our boat stays in the covered berth all year round and the flybridge is covered with a tarpaulin in winter. The flybridge has never been exposed to rain since the unit was installed, only normal condensation while at anchor. This is supposed to be a part of the sea. Because it corrodes so easily, I strongly advise against purchasing Kenwood marine receivers. Try a different brand.

Pros
  • Onboard Alexa - Dedicated Alexa button activates Alexa. Listen to music, check the weather and local news. Control smart home devices powered by Alexa. Available for iOS and Android (requires connected smartphone with Alexa app to work)
Cons
  • Unusable features
