This is a wonderful piece of equipment. I used to try to clean the lenses by hand. No matter how hard I tried to be careful, sometimes the lens broke. I've never been sure, even when I've done everything right, that my lenses are cleaner. I bought this device out of desperation. That's my personal wish, not to throw money out the window. I had some doubts as to how effective this would be, but I have to say it seems to do the job very well. This makes my lenses feel more comfortable throughout the day. Just a warning, when you're done cleaning, look at the bottom and "top" caps of your lens cleaner. I thought I lost one only to find it was stuck to the top.
