Good radio, poor battery life

Very nice little radio, good sound, easy to use, can be attached to the belt. But the battery life (requires 3 AAA batteries) is mediocre. With intensive use (more than 4 hours a day) they wear out within a few days. You either had to use AA batteries or put in 4 AAA batteries.
