I never have to worry about leaving more scratches than I remove
I use this very thin sanding block on my soapstone countertops. It sands away dents and scratches very smoothly and I never have to worry about leaving more scratches than I'm removing. I don't use the block very often so I can't comment on durability, but it looks the same as when I bought it.
