Review on πŸ’Ž Minera Fine Grain Dead Sea Salt - 2lb Bag by Maria Gonzalez

Good quality salts. May be more useful for skin problems than for relaxation.

I usually use Epsom salts in my bath as I find it a bit invigorating and good for tired muscles. Dead Sea salt is something new. I decided to try it on a lark. I was pleased with the quality of Epsoak Epsom Salt from San Francisco Salt Co. and its medium-grain texture, which is why I chose their Dead Sea Minera Salt. It is pure Dead Sea salt from a source in the southern part of the Dead Sea. They contain, among other things, magnesium, potassium, sodium, calcium, bromide, sulfur in this order. Minerals are said to benefit the skin and muscles. The directions state that you should add a handful or 2 full cups to your bath when using salts to treat psoriasis. I added half a cup of salt. I can't say I noticed an effect. Maybe the salts in my bath weren't concentrated enough. I probably should have used 2 cups even though I'm not treating a skin condition. I was hesitant to use more as Minera is significantly more expensive than Epsoak even when bought in bulk. Grains with a size of 1-2 mm are too small to make a scrub. But if you want to taste these Dead Sea salts, I recommend using a large amount.
