We run incredibly fast through socks. Always thin toes and heels, then straight holes. These are very well maintained! The material is thicker in the comfortable areas, but not so thick that the shoes don't fit. Plus, with the elastic, the socks stay put - not too tight to be uncomfortable or mark, but strong enough to stay on your feet. The colors are bright and do not fade with washing. Excellent purchase!
