I've tried this phone with two different carriers, T-Mobile and SimpleMobile, and for some reason I couldn't receive calls in downtown New Orleans or in the city where I live, even though it actually showed four signal bars. The texts will pile up as if they were in a queue and when you start browsing something like the web or whatever, they would just pop up as if you turned your phone off for a while and then turned it back on. his. . This isn't my first Doogie and I'm really disappointed in its ability to receive calls and texts in the US. I also have a home in South America, which makes this phone ideal for me to use in both locations, but don't try to use it in the United States, or at least not with the two carriers I've tried. The battery life is amazing though.
