I have several pen cases and this one is the best (they could have cost three times as much and it would have been worth it! - pssst!) It's made from high quality leather and is very well designed to accommodate different pen sizes. The negative review was related to how thin the skin is. It is good if the skin is of good quality. I have a habit of hanging the clip of one of my favorite pens by one end so it's easy to grab. I can't do this with thicker textured cases. I use this every day. I've waited a while to write this review because you never know how things will turn out. This is top quality and I will be looking for more leather goods from these guys because they are great! It also has an amazing high quality leather smell.
