I am a mother with young children, so this is an ideal option for me with limited time! This works best on slightly damp hair (not too wet). Once I learned to tuck my hair around and under the shaft on both sides, the curls were much better. I also preferred to keep the clip on top of my head that held the rod in place (when removing the rod moved a lot and was too annoying as it kept waking me up at night). If I really want to, I can touch up any straggly hair around my face with a curling iron, but that's not necessary for now.
