I have bought two different brands of motion recorders for my cars. I bought this and I bought an Apeman C420D. Of course it costs a few bucks more, but I'm amazed at how much the Kingslim D2 outperforms the Apeman. First, the video/image quality of the Kingslim is superb. It's crystal clear on both the front and rear cameras. Even when driving at high speeds, the recording is not blurry or shaky. At night, the Kingslim is still remarkably crisp compared to the Apeman. Apeman captures horrible low-light footage. I pointed my rear camera up instead of on the ground (since the rear camera would have been tilted) so I could capture the license plates/speeding cars behind me and read the license plates/see the driver almost as clearly as I can see from the front camera . Second, the setup was pretty easy and I think anyone could do it on their own. All you have to do is run the cables through the upholstery to the cigarette lighter and to the back of your car, and depending on whether you have an internal or external rear view camera, through the back of your car. You can also connect the cable to the reverse light cable, which turns the camera system into a rear view camera. I chose not to do this as you can instead just swap the front camera screen for the rear camera image and use it that way temporarily. And last but not least, the customer service. I had a problem with the parking sensor and headlight sensor on my Apeman C420D and contacted support regarding this. All they could tell me was that these features were made that way and worked properly and that I could just turn them off if I didn't like them. I haven't had any issues with my Kingslim so far, so the only interaction with their customer service was an email they sent me (I was surprised as it's usually just an email) thanking me for my purchase thanked. This shows me the difference in how Apeman sees its customers and how we are rated by Kingslim. All in all, you won't be disappointed with this camera. It is exactly as advertised!
