It works :) . I actually use it to connect my Macbook Pro from work to my home monitor via a DisplayPort connection while my home PC is connected via HDMI. In terms of work-related activities, I honestly can't see any difference between DisplayPort and HDMI, which carry good digital signals (much better than the old analogue VGA connectors) and seem to have a higher screen resolution than DVI-D. If you have a choice, I would choose DisplayPort as a small technical advantage. I think it's well built, looks professional for my desk and all connections seem solid. It's worth noting that I think this has more to do with the Macbook than the connector as it's the same with my previous, different brand HDMI connector that I use at work. Sometimes I have to unplug it and plug it back in. a USB-C port so the MacBook will recognize this display after waking from sleep while still connected to my desktop. Sometimes it's ok, sometimes you need to reconnect. But honestly, it's the same with every other USB-C connector I've used, no matter the brand. I don't think it's about a connector, it's about recognizing and handling Macbooks. You'll see the same feedback from people on most of these USB-C monitor ports.
