I think I expected more than I got - HOWEVER - nothing was specified. I think I was hoping for more than just stitching. Based on the cover I thought I would see colorful examples of good size photos. There are photos, but they're thumbnail size and I have to keep picking them up to see when I need a reminder. The stitch tutorials are computer generated drawings and sometimes the stitch doesn't match the thumbnail of the photo, which then makes me wonder. if i do it right (Feather Stitch is one such example.) I then pull out my laptop at my favorite site and watch the video tutorial again. One of the reasons I got this is because it's a book with a built in stand that can be stored. next to you instead of pulling out your laptop - not a chore - but I have enough stuff on me and around me while I learn crazy quilting. Between the lids lie wonderful things, including instructions for both left and right handed people. (This word doesn't seem to be in my laptop dictionary - I think it needs an update!); ) I found this book helpful, but I have to rate it a seven out of ten on my list of crazy engraving books.
