Works well but requires running water to clean meaning you need a chute. Throwing away used soil is not so good. The coffee is good, but a bit "cloudy" only because of the metal filter. The best solution for me is to use a 2-4 cup paper cone filter. The filter needs an extra crease to make it more pointed, but it works well and the coffee feels a little richer than a plastic or ceramic infusion. It's also slightly cooler than hard pour overs, so drink it right away and don't add too much cold milk. :) A metal filter will do as a backup if you forget to refill your paper filters.
