I bought this complete kit which includes engine block, window rails etc. After inspection (all cables, rails, etc. were in excellent condition) I decided to only install the motor block of this window regulator. It was an easy transition. I lubricated the original chains with a very light silicone grease. Works great, the job has become easier and I still have the original parts. I suspected a problem with the motor/switch as the window would not raise intermittently - there were no noises, clicks etc that would indicate a broken wire or mechanical problem. Yes I have extra parts but still a big cost savings. I think the motor assembly is sold separately. So if you're sure it's the engine, you can save a few bucks.
