Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great set, easy to use, a little bigger than I thought.

I love this product! I have 3 girls and I've spent way more money than I'd like to admit getting my ears pierced at one of my favorite mall jewelry stores! Don't believe them when they say it's "FREE". Rzhunimagu! Anyway my eldest daughter wanted a second hole so she asked me if we would buy her if I could make it for her. I had no problem with that as I worked in the aforementioned teenage jewelry store during my college days! I've done this 100 or more times. It was very easy and fairly painless. I ordered another set and pierced my 10 year old's ears. Although I've done this many, many times, you don't have to be a pro to do this. Anyone can do this. First, wipe your earlobes with alcohol! Then make sure you mark on both ears where you want to make holes before piercing them. Don't mark a hole and pierce it and then do it on the other side. Mark both sides and then look directly at them to make sure they are even. Make sure they are the same distance from the face and the same height. The holes should be approximately in the middle of the earlobe. It's probably a good idea to look at the person you're piercing and make sure they're looking at them at all. Then simply load the earrings into the gun, align the shank of the earring with the center of the marked point and squeeze the gun. It doesn't pop like some of the old piercing guns. You really have to use your own strength to get through it. But it's easier than it looks. Don't use excessive force, but don't be too gentle either. You don't want it to be half. I would say about the same force you use for a stapler. After you've gone all the way, slowly release the gun and then very slowly move it away from your ear. This will likely leave a plastic sheath around the earring. It's okay, just take it off. It should be in 2 parts and should separate easily. Then, and this is very important, make sure you unclip the back of the earrings! The pressure of the piercing presses the back quite hard against the ear. It can get uncomfortable pretty quickly when the ear starts to swell a bit. It is in order. So make sure you keep your back a little longer. Then be sure to wipe your ears with alcohol or peroxide. If you have a jewelry store cleaning solution, that's great. If not, then everything is fine. I should mention that these are quite large earrings. More than I thought. They will definitely be too big for a small child. They are a bit big for my 10 year old but not big enough to look ridiculous or anything. They were a bit too big for my oldest daughter's top hole. But she only dealt with it for 6 weeks. never mind They are definitely bigger than the ones in the mall!
