I actually ordered them as an extra set with back clasps (which is what you usually get with a self piercing system). While the ear piercing system looks good, the back of the earrings does not snap into place as expected, like all of my Studex earrings. Therefore they are practically useless to me as it is too cheap an earring to wear regularly and the back is so sharp that I wore it for a day and pierced my finger 3 times and my neck twice. Pay a little more and get Studex's earring system.

As a longtime ear piercing professional I was initially skeptical. However they are very good quality and better than the kits used by Claire's etc. It was sterile, so easy to use and probably the quickest and least painful piercing I've ever had on my ears. I particularly like that it wasn't the aggressive "PUNCH" like some of the other kits I've used, it seemed more subtle (in a good way). I highly recommend this product.

Just got the earrings! I didn't want to spend $25 an ear on this when I could do it at home. The first thing I did worked great, the second the clear case around the rhinestone part didn't crack or come loose so I just put my fingernail between the cracks and it broke easily. No pain, I did it very slowly as I didn't want the earring to be tight. No pain afterwards! So happy with that. And yes, it wasn't difficult to take the cover off.

You can do it yourself. Pretty painless and easy. It comes with no instructions, but if you search YouTube for ear piercing, you'll find videos showing you how. I had to prick old piercing holes because they had closed. I didn't want to pay anyone for it. This remedy worked for me. I felt better with the second ear. The plastic gun doesn't always connect the back to the shank of the earring. I had to reload the gun and try again after a few days of healing on the first ear.
