This part was easy to install. The passenger side floor panel has two screws and a plastic rivet to access the fan. My mom has two 2005 LeSabres, both had the same problem. I ordered a fan to try out. After replacing the fan, I found that all I had to do was tap on the old motor to get all the carbon off the brushes. Just touch the fan and spin it and a hole will appear on the side for the old charcoal to fall out. The two existing blowers then went back into operation. Before ordering this part I would suggest removing the old fan and trying this method. It's a good deal anyway as the mechanic wanted to charge her $350 to replace the fan. I was able to do all of this work in less than 30 minutes with just a 4mm and a 6mm head.
