My old igniter came with a 1987 gas oven that I installed. It failed to keep the intermittent pilot valve operational and caused the gas valve to cycle on and off rapidly with a loud click. I thought I might need to replace the stove. Instead, I decided to replace the igniter. I read the instructions twice, watched the video on YouTube. I made sure to label all my wires as I removed them. It took me about 20 minutes to remove the old unit and install the new one, but I was too careful to make sure everything was done right. I also replaced the igniter ground wire and cleaned the igniter/sensor with a wire brush on my Dremel tool. To do it again I'm confident now that I know it will take me less than 5 minutes. The new one solved the ignition problem and has been working great for about a month now. You can take the model number off your old igniter and see if it is a replacement for it. Update 01/23/2021 Still works as it should.
