The extremely sharp optics you are used to from Zeiss. The range finder works well up to a distance of about 440 meters. Not long range. These devices are too heavy to wear with straps around my neck, but I hunt with blinds so that's not a problem. The moderate 3-star rating is due to jamming in the first year of use. Somehow, despite careful use, I also managed to scratch the lens of my eye. Returned to Zeiss US New York for repair in January. Today is the 11th. April and they still have them (sent to Germany for revision) and they charge me $456 to fix these devices. that cost $3,500 and are less than 3 years old. If generous warranty service and quick turnaround are important to you when you're spending that kind of money, consider what I'm going through before I buy. May 1st update - got the binoculars back today. They have been cleaned but the dented lens has not been repaired. Worse, the lens caps and eye caps were not returned. So I waited over 3 months to return my binoculars with only partially resolved issues and they kept my protection lenses which would cost over $55 to replace if activated if I have to contact them again for about the 5th time, to get this repair right.
