Review on Samsung Jet Stick VS20T7536T5: Powerhouse Cordless Vacuum Cleaner by Bryan King

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Compared to Dyson V10

Edit: I didn't get it for free, I paid for it. The box was opened as it was sealed with a piece of tape. The packaging of the product looks like it has been re-glued. Came back and ordered from Samsung. This vacuum cleaner has a higher peak suction power than the V10, but the battery only lasts 6 minutes. I haven't done any scientific testing, but it seems that the Jet is about as capable at mid-range as the Dyson is at max. The Jet puts out 200 airwatts at max power (whatever that means), and on shaggy carpets the Jet can be difficult to push unlike the Dyson. Noise level The jet is MUCH quieter than the Dyson V10 on every level. heavier than a Dyson, it's noticeable. Samsung says the jet weighs 6 pounds, but it feels like it's heavier. Unlike the Dyson, the jet battery is removable/replaceable. It comes with a wall mount and charger, but there's no option to plug the charger directly into the vacuum like the Dyson does. The Jet's trash can does not have a flap that opens from below. You need to remove the canister, take out the filter/middle section and empty the canister. It's quite a hassle, so I bought the Clean Station, which magically automatically empties the bin (the special bin that came with the Clean Station). Overall, the Samsung Jet is better than the Dyson as a vacuum cleaner. It's heavier than the V10, but if you buy it with the Clean Station it fixes a big problem I had with the Dyson.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • Not bad but...
