This is a loud siren, nobody will be delayed once you turn it on.
I love my friend for the gift nice soft colors easy charging with the cable provided the only problem I had and it's IMPORTANT you must turn off the alarm the same way you turn it off have switched on . That is, I pulled the pin out (in the yard), the loud siren went off to turn it off, I pushed the button to turn it off, not knowing that when you pull the pin out, put the pin back in to to shut him up. The second way to turn off is to press the SOS button, to turn off the siren, press the button. I'm not sure which method I would use in an emergency, but both worked well. Incidentally, the pen is attached in such a way that it can be easily reinserted.
