Yes the steel is of good quality but inconvenient to use. Small hands take some getting used to and I wear a size 7 glove (on the small side). When I turn it on right away, it feels like it's fighting with me. I tried putting a drop of oil on the screw as suggested but to no avail. After some use of these scissors they have loosened up and I am updating my rating to 3 stars. I still think paying for a pair of scissors is a bit much, but a leather case is good for keeping the scissors sharp, so maybe that's why they're larger than the competition's scissors in this area?
