I've just discovered that mats can be sealed with tape. I looked for a tape and stopped there. So far I've had pretty good results. I have 3 different types of floors in my house. Use more tape on tile floors. I used two 6" strips on either end of my two 2" x 8" skids. That lasted for two weeks as the husky made them "zumi" every day. two 6" strips on each side. Each rug has 6 new pieces of tape and the old 4 pieces I used that have peeled off. They still haven't moved. So the more tiles the better. x 8 inch joggers. They have two 6" pieces of tape on each side and hold up great. Then attach the vinyl skin. looks like tiles. I have a large 6 x 9 foot rug that I taped in place to make vacuuming easier and to keep the husky from eating it. I have one side that is still stuck and one side that has come loose. I sealed the corners with two 8 inch pieces of tape. So if you have a vinyl floor, use more tape.
