SHIT! The description says it does NOT need batteries, but it works! Caller ID only shows callers' phone numbers, not their names. There is no directory where you can store selected phone numbers of people you call frequently. Most importantly, just plugging into my phone lines causes problems with all my phones (stops ringing after one ring or doesn't ring at all when receiving calls, and sometimes rings in the middle of a phone conversation). I would have asked for my money back but I already threw the box away.
