It did what it was supposed to do. I was able to play my PS4 on my buddy's dinosaur TV. The picture wasn't very sharp, but it was usable, and I wasn't the kind of person who thought I was going to somehow get HD quality from a non-HD TV. The main thing that bothered me about this image was that I couldn't read the text unless it was very large, but I have the same problem when I connect my PS3 to a non-HD TV, ie I think that was to be expected. The image was a little blurrier than I expected, but I could see what I was doing in-game, so it was fine for my purposes. Bottom line: if you're buying this for your home because you don't have an HDTV, then I warn you that it might not be great for it, but I'm not sure it will be. It would probably be better to save up for a cheap HD TV at a pawn shop. If you just want your console to be able to be used when visiting a place without HD TVs, this should work.
