This item worked as expected except for one small complaint. I use it to connect my PS4 to my old tube TV. I connected everything correctly and even hooked it up to an extension cord for power. Excellent device for my needs. I bought it to send video sources from HDMI devices to a USB capture card. I don't record video with it, but for the project I used it with (Hyperion Ambilight for multiple HDMI sources) it works great. Use to power on without external USB power supply.
