What an upgrade! - Soldering stations

In my many hobbies I do a lot of fine detail work. Whether painting, soldering, gluing, assembling or repairing, I've always needed a kind of "helping hand". I have three or four cheap little weighted straight arms with screw clamps for adjustment (which always work loose) and small alligator clips (which always fall out). I'm getting ready to build an exact model of Titanic and set up the desktop hardware. This set of helping hands is incredibly well thought out and very well made. The base is a sturdy, powder-coated steel plate with rubber feet. It doesn't move unless you move it. It has four arms, two short and two long. Good caster steel, stiff and holds position even with heavy items. Each of the spring clamps has thick heat shrink tubing covering the jaws and acting like a rubber protector to prevent damage to the parts you are working with. They're attached to the base with super-strong magnets that allow you to move your hands anywhere on the platter. Genius! In the picture I will be desoldering the old connector from the heavy lipo battery and soldering in the new connector with longer leads to connect one of my drones. You can see how well this product works. I am very happy with this purchase. Five stars.
