I mounted them on a Specialized Rockhopper 29. This is the latest model in the Rockhopper line with mechanical brakes. The standard mechanical/cable breaks that come with the Rockhopper are little better than terrible once broken, but your forearms will still pump up handling it downhill. Switching to these hydraulic brakes gave me what I was looking for, the ability to lock the wheel with reasonable traction. This is a significant improvement over stock cable brakes. Easy installation, 4 screws and some cable management.
