Great product for the price

Good product and good price. Good stopping power. Easily installed and easily changed from left to right, both rear and front. Not sure why they are doing this with the US market. So far so good, just the sound of the batter and I'm guessing there's still some of my old liquid on the rotor.

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Obsolete model

Enormous braking power!

I bought these to upgrade my bike with mechanical discs. The difference in my case is phenomenal. They were easy to install and set up. I specifically wanted a European brake setup. This means that the FRONT WHEEL brake is on the RIGHT side. Remember that's how they're sold. I give them 10/10 for performance and 10/10 for cost.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Quality

Works great but retroactive

I just got them and they work great but the problem is they are reversed. The right side controls the front and the left controls the back. It is assumed that everything should be reversed. Just be careful when you buy them. I have to take it to my LBS to change as I don't want to mess with changing hydraulic cables. It's either that or I have to send them back. Damn.

Best Hit for the Dollar!

Excellent fit, best upgrade you can make. If you get a front and rear set, the grips are back. DO NOT INSTALL THEM DOWN! Install them in reverse order and adjust the handles parallel to the ground, remove the line nut on each handle, gently pull the line and it will pop out of the handle. Swap the left front and right rear hoses, insert the hose until it clicks and screw the locknut back onto the handle. You shouldn't be losing any liquid and your grips are in the right position. Done in no…

Great price and works well very satisfied.

I mounted them on a Specialized Rockhopper 29. This is the latest model in the Rockhopper line with mechanical brakes. The standard mechanical/cable breaks that come with the Rockhopper are little better than terrible once broken, but your forearms will still pump up handling it downhill. Switching to these hydraulic brakes gave me what I was looking for, the ability to lock the wheel with reasonable traction. This is a significant improvement over stock cable brakes. Easy installation, 4…

Great cheap brakes

This is a 5 star product although as many others have mentioned the knobs need replacing. FYI, it's very simple. If you can use a wrench, you can swap them out. Very little or no liquid comes out. Anyway, my Shimano brakes weren't doing their job properly so I tried salvaging them, flush and bleed lines, swap pads and spare rotors, but none of it worked. I ordered these brakes based on the positive reviews, although I was hesitant to even change the knobs. They worked great on the first ride…

Easily changeable brake levers!

These brakes were expensive so I bought 2 pairs to upgrade the brakes on some old mountain bikes. Changing the lever took less than 5 minutes and I didn't spill a drop of brake fluid. All you need is an 8mm wrench. And something to lean the lever against with the open end facing up. I was willing to bleed the brakes if needed but the fluid wouldn't go away. Here's what I did.1. Remove the rubber covers.2. Use an 8mm wrench to loosen the nut. You only need a wrench to loosen the nut, you can…

Worst POS ever, total rip off

Updates: After use the pads started to wear out and when I tried to turn the adjusters I found that they were already fully screwed in and the adjuster could not be unscrewed at all, only outwards. This means they have filled the oil system with the minimum amount of oil needed to get the job done. When it's time for an adjustment, there is none. I suspect there is a way to add oil, but I don't have to do it with new brakes. So they are what they are and you cannot correct them for wear and…
