We bought this for a 1 year old but haven't given it to him yet. Although we took it out of the box to test it and our dog loves it! We love the fact that when he hits something, he backs away and moves the other way. The volume options are good and the toy feels solid. Speech/words are a bit difficult to understand at first but over time you get a clearer idea of what is being said. As a pet owner, I'm happy to see that this toy encourages toddlers to (NOT choke) animals. If there's anything I want from her, it's to stand up when she's urged. It is NOT easy, our dog pushes it. but it would be nice if it was in place so I don't have to.
