Review on πŸ’» Enhanced Belkin 4-Port Ultra-Mini USB 2.0 Hub by Andrew Britton

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Extremely small but incredibly versatile USB hub Top quality from Belkin

I have an iMac with 4 USB ports on the back. Now that I have an iPad, iPod Touch, Kindle, backup computer hard drive, etc., 4 ports wasn't enough for my needs. After reading the description of this product it seemed ideal for use with a laptop computer. Since it doesn't include a power cord, I was afraid it wouldn't work for the devices I intended to use it for. I was wrong. When I unpacked it, I simply unplugged one of the devices that was plugged into the back of my Mac and plugged in that device. I then connected the device I removed to this unit along with 3 other devices. using the USB connection. To my surprise, everything works perfectly, even when using many devices at the same time. I can use my printer, keyboard, backup hard drive, Kindle, iPad, iPad Touch, etc. without losing signal strength. This tiny USB hub sits behind my computer, just dangling from one of the USB ports. The cable is very short, but due to its very light weight, disconnecting it is not a problem. The only thing I don't care about about the hub is the constantly lit red light. This is a personal matter and has nothing to do with the quality of the hub. I'm just one of those guys who don't care about red lights. If it came with blue light I would be happier. Obviously, this isn't a big deal and doesn't detract from the wonderful operation of the hub. Bottom line, this hub performs better than I expected. This completely solved my problem of lack of USB ports. This happens so inconspicuously that I don't even notice that the device is there. This well made and designed Belkin product has no cons (except a red light for me) and many, many positives. Belkin products have a reputation for quality and this product lives up to that reputation. I award clear 5 stars.
