What started as a cute little 10 gallon aquarium to liven up my living room has now grown into 6 55-180 gallon aquariums throughout my house (and a pond in the back!). There you have it, cute and easy-care aquarium! Since getting my first aquarium a few years ago I have learned so much about this hobby and have tried almost every brand in every style of everything you need for an aquarium. The sky leveled just right and the heavens opened up when I ordered this filter! This is the original Eheim green external filter. Over time I've learned to always buy a filter twice the size of yours for a tank. It does such a good job of keeping my 80 gallon tank clean that I have reduced the number of constant water changes I used to do which was an average of 2 times a week. Why so much? Well, my filter was the wrong size (despite clearly stating this on the packaging) and it just isn't THAT brand! In the past I've bought filters with all the bells and whistles you know. They cost what I pay to send my kid to college! I've had the ones that hang from the back of the tank, every size, with all the layers of both to keep the water clean. Other canister filters not really effective enough to reach the price I paid and even non chemical filters. Nothing worked like this Eheim, nothing. Sure, it's pretty simple and straightforward, but I love it! You don't have to press a cute little button to get the water moving or refill the filter on the first run (or after cleaning), but that's what YouTube is for! - There are so many videos to find out. And it's super easy. I'm not the kind of person who can just take things out of the box and get them working without any guidance. I watched a few YouTube videos that showed me how to set this up and even afterwards. It took me 20 minutes to get everything working. super easy. Super clear water. Super healthy fish. Super happy customer!
