It seems like those who provided negative feedback on this product had one of two issues: it floated or blocked the drain. I have a walk in shower and use this drain cover and am very glad I found it. I measured my sink and as you can see the lid fits PERFECTLY. It doesn't have to suck, just sit down and grab your hair. It will only float if the water is not properly drained. You should not have a level of water in the tub or on the shower floor for it to swim on. If you do, you either have a lot of hair covering the cap and need to remove it when you shower, or you have a slow drain, which probably means you had a limited drain hose before you put it on, maybe due to hair that were not previously recorded. This cap fits my drain perfectly and as you can see from the different hole sizes in the picture with the drain and oxo cap installed, the much smaller holes did an excellent job of catching the hair (as you can see in the photo). 3 Although the hair is white, but you can see there is a bun, I wiped the top of the oxo cap). Two thumbs up for this product, simple design, good construction, perfect fit.
