Update: I still recommend this crate for all the reasons listed below (and as mentioned, still beware of crouching), but our pup eventually tried to get out, pawed and leaned zip on the crate and break it to get out. I still love the soft cage concept and I like this one specifically for the comfort of the home but not so much to keep her inside as to make her comfortable. We originally took this cage with us on camping trips so our new adoptive mech would be comfortable and have their own space. The box looks and feels huge (ordered 42ft)! Plenty of room for our 65 lb pup. The box appears to be of good quality and is very easy to assemble and disassemble. A drawer-lined drawer also helped as there were fewer things to forget to buy or pack. Pockets/small storage compartments are also good. Unfortunately the box was too big for our trailer so we still use it regularly. We have used it in the car and it did well and when it was installed in our dog's house to get used to it our dog got used to it more than his traditional metal cage and we thought about replacing it but were worried her puppy mentality was trying to digest it when we were gone and we had a big travel box, $70 and things we care about at our house. So for now it's boxed up and ready to go. If our house was bigger, we would use this box as her sleeping box in the bedroom and as a traditional box when we go. I hope this nonsense will be useful to someone! All in all I would recommend and buy again, just watch your gummy bears! I'll update if anything comes up in the future.
