Review on 🧷 Dritz 93-65 Sew On Hook & Eye Closures Nickel 5/8-Inch, 4-Piece: Secure and Stylish Fastening Option for Garments by Denise Davis

excellent fasteners for pants, shorts, skirts.

My very skinny 4 year old is going to primary school and I had to custom order him a size 4 bodysuit with matching pants. When the shorts arrived I found that the shorts had buttonholes. This doesn't work for a toddler who needs to quickly undo their pants to go to the bathroom. I thought this would be the perfect solution. I sewed on the buttonholes and then sewed a button to the top front of the shorts to make it look like they were buttoned up. The hook and eye are very easy to sew on and the closure is very secure. Pulling the hook and eye together locks it in place so you know you've inserted it fully and securely. However, it didn't work out for my sons' tiny hands and dexterity. I ended up buying some metal fasteners that better suited his skill level. I was disappointed because I like the look of the button the shorts came with compared to the metal button I went with. The kit includes two color options for Velcro. One is nickel plated and the other is oil bronze. Both finishes are good and I like having two options in one package. I can see that I will be using them for other garments in the future, so I don't mind not using them for this project. It's easy and affordable if you're looking for an alternative closure for your clothes.
