I will refrain from gross humor but the product I received was a good 36" not 38" as advertised. They still fit my case perfectly, so I'm not complaining, but if you want a full 38 inches, you might not get them here. I bought to block noise coming through the gap and they really make a noticeable difference. However, from the pictures it looks like it's filled with some kind of hard/heavy material, but I'd say it's around 80% or more polyfill by volume. definitely wouldn't call them hefty Velcro seems to do a good job of securing it to the door so you don't have to reattach it every time you open the door.
