OEM Lippert/Kwikee did not offer much technical assistance in trying to determine which model to order as there are three models for the 26 tread series. I ended up ordering this kit after receiving and sending back one of the other models and ordered it too but canceled before sending the second model. I changed the steps in a 2002 RV. There is no installation guide. The biggest problem was that the hole tolerance was such that it was slightly different from the current model. I had to drill two holes a bit to line up the device with the existing screw holes. A floor jack and bottle jack helped a lot. Required to use a 4 pin pigtail connector to extend the rungs to access the two screw holes. To extend the steps, apply 12V to the red wire on the 4-pin connector and ground to a separate green ground wire (not the 4-pin connector). After installation I discovered two things. 1) The black round magnetic switch is the correct switch. A normally open switch means that the switch is open in the absence of a magnet. Also, the operation of the power button has been reversed. I simply flipped the existing radio button and renamed it. The stages ran smoothly and are a good replacement for the existing 26 speed range.
