The backpack is beautiful and seems durable. Why three stars? Well the backpack is smaller than expected and very thin which means it has no back support. In the pics short people wear these bags to make them look taller lol! You would have to put a piece of plastic inside to provide more grip. When carrying a backpack on your back, the top part of the backpack rests on your neck, which is VERY uncomfortable! Definitely not the backpack you want to hike or go long distances with unless you want it to sag! Trust me it's overpriced for what it is. I don't like that the huge piece of velcro is open at the top because it gets caught in clothes and soils them. You could have at least used the softer velcro side instead of the abrasive side! If I leave the backpack I'll probably unhook the velcro and change them, ugh. The backpack feels solid and has double or triple stitching in many places, which is a good thing. I would not recommend this backpack for hiking unless you are putting it on an external frame or modifying it. It has a decent amount of space inside, but don't expect too much. So, in summary, this is a good travel backpack for short distances. In fact, I wouldn't recommend using back straps at all. Just stick to the shoulder strap. So overall he gets fur. I'm trying to decide whether to return it or just leave it and mod it. Still, it's a good showpiece, LOL!
