Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Lisle 13800 Water Pump Sprocket Holder: A Must-Have Tool for GM Ecotec Engine Maintenance! by Demond Clenney

Worked great! in spares

I couldn't replace the water pump on my wife's '08 Pontiac Solstice without! This tool was easy to install/remove and held the gear in place with no rotation. The dealer also replaced the catalytic converter under warranty at the same time and wanted an additional $497 to replace the water pump. With this tool I replaced the pump myself for about $100 including the cost of the tool. I made a good living when I was an apprentice plumber, but I couldn't justify how long it took to earn the money to pay the dealer $130 an hour (exactly the total time it took the actual work to do it to do yourself with them advertised price) ). Not only were they trying to double their labor for some of the work, they also charged twice as much time for the actual work at their current retail price of $85 an hour. I got the job done in my shed in half the time without access to multi-million dollar equipment at a huge shop and saved $400.

Pros
  • nice thing
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something
