LEAKS won't turn off

I bought two of these. They both leak around the threads where you screw the hose. The gasket just twists, if you try to tighten it it actually leaks. Tried different hoses. I tried different tension levels, nothing worked. One hasn't switched off since the day it was new. I have more than enough water pressure to activate the valve, but it won't turn off. They drive out there in a day or two and he drives in and makes a big mud hole.
