Review on 20X25X1 Home Furnace Filter - Eco-Friendly and Reusable by Chris Litton

Thank you K&N for entering this home market. I have been a fan of automotive products for many years and I feel I have the same value here. For the same price as a pack of 3 disposable filters of the same size, I now have a reusable filter with the same filtering capacity. The construction is great and this item outperforms every other "reusable" block on the market (and I've tried them). In addition, the stable frame snaps into place better than the cardboard version. My intake ports have aluminum lugs that can be bent to hold the filter and they sit perfectly in the groove of the filter frame. In other words, it doesn't fall off when the air intake is shut off. The frame has an added benefit that I'll get to later. As with any filter, a small amount of air escapes at the outer edges of the frame, causing a slight whistling sound. Although this one is very quiet, I could potentially improve it by putting some foam rubber tape on the frame. This would be impractical for a disposable filter, but the added expense may be of some value in going "quiet" with a real seal. I bought. I need a 14" x 14" x 1" for the bedroom and a 20" x 40" x 1" for the second HVAC unit (we have two in our house I contacted K&N sales and asked for help with other sizes (still waiting for an answer) But it's certainly only a matter of time UPDATE 03/27/2020 Since the filter was installed on 02/10/2020, it continues to run quietly and just as efficiently as on day 1 3M on the other hand get a little looser and allow more wind noise.All installed the same night.I'm sure the PVC frame makes a big difference.It's time to clean the filter so I'll get one Ordering cleaning solution just for this very happy with the product and can't wait for them to come out with the other sizes I need If you need a specific size that isn't offered email tech@knfilters. com (or call 800-858-3333) and make a request They create a filter of about Demand is high, so let them know!
